Amateur Radio Broadcaster

I met this client at an artist's workshop out in Colorado a few years ago. We've kept in touch and in 2011 she commissioned me to create a gift for her husband who is an amateur radio enthusiast. While I know a little bit about amateur radio, I don't know much beyond understanding that when you see an unusual license plate such as the one pictured in the collage, that's the call sign for that person's amateur radio station. Since knowing the story behind the photos helps with the creation of the collage, after she uploaded her photos to Dropbox, she and I chatted on the phone about what the different photos represented and what her thoughts were on the layout of the collage. After she received the collage it was hung up in his radio shack, which I learned is how the retail chain got its name.
